Now Playing: Hayden is 18 months old
Hi everyone, what a busy month it has been. We have done so many new things that I am not sure I will remember them all.
Let's see we took Hayden to the zoo and we decided we didn't need a stroller since we were not going to be there long. This is still a little difficult because Hayden has a mind of his own. We even let him have mini M&M's while waiting for them to feed the tigers. Of course when he finished his snack, he could care less about the tigers. He just wanted to run around. His favorite thing to do at the zoo is the boat ride to see the monkeys. Then a couple of days later, he was able to play the pots at Grandma's house while they watched him. He seemed to really enjoy it so that will be a special thing he does at THEIR house. The next day Hayden was able to help Papa water the plants at his Great Grandma's (Busia) house. He was soaking wet but he didn't want to stop. Hayden will also be in the Neopolitan Family magazine in Naples. They did an artical on Aurelio's being a Family Resturant and a great place to take the kids. So of course we had to dress him up for it. Hayden also attended a birthday party that had pony rides. So he was able to ride a pony and he absolutely loved that also.
We had our 18month dr. appointment and it went very well. He is 26lbs 9oz and 34 1/2 in tall. He has averaged out in weight, but still off the charts in Height. He now has all his teeth except his 2nd year molars.
we have been doing some interior decorating in all the bedrooms and Hayden moved up to a bigger bedroom. We have also decided to take him out of the crib. He was starting to put his leg on the top rail, and I really don't want to wait until he gets hurt to take him out. He did not do very well for his first nap, so we put him in the play pen in the room to get used to it. Bed time was much better. He settled right on in. Of course he ended up on the floor, in front of the gate and door, but at least he fell asleep. He stayed asleep for the transfer to his bed. Hopefully we will have an uneventfull night.
Our only other big news is that Hayden made his first tinkle on the potty. Of course he has only done it once and it has been over a week, but I am aloud to feel proud of him, even if it was an accident.
